I ordered 8 empanadas. The empanadas were made fresh and came in plastic bags that had labels. The chicken Gordon Bleu is my top pick. I also enjoyed the cheesesteak and pulled pork empanadas. I didn't enjoy the chilipanzingas as it was too spicy for me and I couldn't taste anything besides spice. I regret trying the brisket as the meat was dry and lacking compared to the other empanadas. The store itself is very small with crowded seating. The atmosphere is interesting as they had dollar bills covering both sides of the walls marked with names and locations.
The empanadas here are incredible, but what makes this place truly special is Mimi! She treats you like family from the moment you walk in, making every visit feel sooo warm and inviting! You can taste the love in every bite, absolutely a must-try!
Had a co-worker that raved about Empa Mundo, and I came to give it a try. Amazing! The service was great. Very friendly & quick. We ordered 2 empanadas each plus desert so we could split them and try more flavors. They were all delicious. Here were our favorites. And get the chimichurri!!! THE BEST empanadas!!!! I'm here, at least, once a week. MiMi (owner) is the MOST sweetest person She's loved by EVERYONE! She definitely puts a lot of love into those delicious empanadas. Fast, friendly service!
It's a small, but loving place. Been buying from them for a few years now. The Texas Twinkie (no actual Twinkies used), is so good! The Chicken Cordon Blue is also a personal favorite. And the Banana Nutella empenada is the perfect dessert.
This is a “little hole in the wall” place. I was skeptical when it was recommended but it was GREAT! The service was good and the owner and (I think her son) were very friendly and helpful. There were 4 of us that went but my food was so good I didn’t think to get pics of everyone else’s food, sorry for only having 1 pic. We were pleasantly surprised that it was that good and we’ll DEFINITELY be going back.
Delicious Delicious empanadas! I had the cheese steak, shrimp pasta and brisket empanadas all was fantastic. Especially chees steak . The owner is a very nice lady who gives excellent service definitely coming back.
This place is quite the hidden gem. I didn't even think I liked empanadas until I tried this place. There is a nice variety of different types of empanadas with different proteins. I highly recommend the chilipazinga but a word of warning, it's delicious but also very spicy. The spicy chicken is another favorite. Regardless of whichever you get, make sure to try the chimichurri. I definitely didn't like chimichurri until I tried it here and it's excellent!
